William “Bill” Ballard studied at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. He is a Certified Executive Chef and a member of the American Academy of Chefs, the honor society of the American Culinary Federation.
He is Interim Executive Chef and Food Service consultant. Last year his work took him to 5 different countries and 33 states. Some recent assignments were at The Ocean House, a Forbes triple 5 star resort in Watch Hill Rhode Island, Laguna Niguel Country Club in South Orange County and just this month he taught an ice carving class at the University of Tennessee.
He has been to the Culinary Olympics three times in Germany and also competed nationally and locally. He is an experienced judge on the local, regional and national levels. It is also worth noting that he received a perfect score from the judges right here in Bend at the Top Chef competition in 2008.
